April 2014 issue of Shine On Hollywood Magazine
Welcome to the April 2014 issue of Shine On Hollywood Magazine (SOHM)! Some may be a little jealous of the warm, abundant sunshine we enjoy year-round here in Southern California as the rest of the country slowly thaws from a long, frigid winter. In addition, we arguably have some of the most talented and beautiful people that spread their own bit of “shine” right here every day. The Editors at Shine On Hollywood Magazine feel so fortunate that we’ve been able to capture some of this talent and beauty in this month’s line-up of our “Top Film Industry Professionals!” These individuals entertain, inspire and enhance the condition of our lives and we are proud to now include them in our SOHM family.
This month’s cover story features the multi-talented and visionary leader Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly, whose career and achievements have run the gamut from commercial pilot to journalist to college professor to president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to wife and mother. She is also a beautiful individual both inside and out. Aida discusses her fascinating life journey spanning Egypt to Hollywood.
This month’s issue also features production executive, Bobby DeLeon. Rising above an oppressive childhood plagued by bullying and a broken home, he found solace in watching his favorite characters on television. With dreams of being part of the entertainment industry, he got educated, worked hard and succeeded. It’s a true Hollywood success story that is sure to inspire!
This issue also features award-winning director, Fernando Scarpa. His rich body of work from the theatre to film is remarkable and his love and passion for his work is inspiring. A true talent with a warm heart, Fernando discusses his path to becoming a director and catches us up on his latest projects.
Finally, we are proud to feature John Sudol. This veteran actor, director and casting professional has developed a unique and effective approach to the way acting is taught. He is now a much sought-after acting and audition coach and you won’t want to miss reading this fascinating and informative article.
We encourage you to “Let them be your motivation.”
