March 2014 issue of Shine On Hollywood Magazine
Welcome to the March 2014 issue of Shine On Hollywood Magazine (SOHM)! In the past short weeks, we were thrilled to witness many of our young, gifted athletes return home from the Olympic Games proudly wearing gold medals. We watched the Academy Awards with anticipation to see who, amongst the talented and beautiful nominees, would walk away with the coveted gold statue. Likewise, the Editors here at Shine On Hollywood Magazine feel like we have struck gold this month with our line-up of “Top Music Industry Professionals!” These individuals entertain, inspire and enhance the condition of our lives and we are proud to now include them in our SOHM family.
This month’s cover story features the multi-talented Sam Harris, the very first winner of “Star Search.” His successful and diversified career has run the gamut from actor on Broadway, film and television to writer, singer and songwriter to director and producer. Sam discusses his rise to fame from “Star Search” and gets us up-to-date on his much anticipated new projects.
This month’s issue also features legendary singer-songwriter, Dee D. Jackson. After an enviable rise to worldwide success, Dee D decided to take a break from public view. However, because of SOHM’s mission of no gossiping nor twisting and our reputation of staying positive and focusing on the artist’s talent, Dee D decided to come out and grant us this interview. We are so happy that she did because her story is truly awe-inspiring.
This issue also features Bob Esty, a gifted and prolific songwriter, producer and arranger, who has worked with some of the best singers in the business. He discusses his work with Donna Summer and others and we get a fascinating glimpse into the world of disco and L.A.’s music business.
Finally, we are proud to feature Brad Chapman. In the world of Hollywoodland, where a singing voice can be your “crown jewel”, Brad is king. He is a much sought-after vocal coach and his interview is both inspirational and informative.
We encourage you to “Let them be your motivation.”
SOHM remains a politics and gossip free publication with its focus on, Real People, Real Stories, from the Arts and Pop Culture Community who make a difference by giving back, and we are delighted to share their heart-felt stories with you. We will continue to provide the industry’s foremost creative meeting place with monthly showcases, news, opinions, analysis, and audience feedback.
The upcoming April issue will feature an emphasis on our iconic film industry. Look for exclusive interviews with leading industry professionals. We hope you enjoy this issue and look forward to your feedback and continued support!
